"Invitation" was commissioned by Tim Miller for the lobby of the new Alden-Houston Hotel.
This permanent light installation creates an interior window in the lobby of the hotel. The lighting changes programs every hour relating to the actual time of day. Hotel guests are transported to another place while lounging or passing through the lobby. A clock feature "chimes" the hour on the hour with a scintillating lighting effects.
