"Wild Arctic"

PGAV architects created a simulated Arctic habitat for seals, beluga whales, polar bears and walruses. Visitors walk under two giant sky domes to view the animals swimming in glacial pools along side a wrecked exploration ship. Lighting scenes change from dawn to dusk. The dome is lighted with 6 rows of fluorescent lamps along the perimeter. The clouds are projected using theatrical lighting fixtures. Lander worked with the Architectural Lighting Design firm of Fisher Marantz Renfro Stone to design this project.

A similar exhibit exists at Sea World of San Diego. The same design teams created the exhibit. (not pictured)
