Bar 89 Bar 89 was designed by artist and interior designer Janis Leonard. Leonard creates seasonal art installations for the bar/restaurant. Lander collaborated with Leonard to create lighting designs that would be integrated with the art.

Top row: Christmas '96, '97. Metal rain deer cutouts hang along the walls. Projections of slowflakes and branches wash the walls.

Middle row: Summer '97. White spandex fabric stretches across the windows. Soft blue light washes the fabric.

Bottom row: Christmas 2000. 35 baskets of glass are internally lighted with LEDs. The LEDs are programmed to blink red and green for Christmas.

Not pictured: Current. Baskets of glass. LEDs are programmed to randomly blink red, white and blue. Alternatively, laser simulator lights scan the rocks changing colors and patterns.
